François Glorieux, 75 jaar intussen, is altijd een buitenbeentje geweest in de Vlaamse muziek. Terwijl zijn generatiegenoten ‘zich verdwalen in gezochte hersenspinsels’, kiest hij als componist bewust voor melodie. Het publiek vermaken is zijn enige doel. Op deze CD staan zowat zijn belangrijkste werken: ‘Manhattan’ waarin hij de bruisende wereldstad schetst, ‘Divertimento’ waarin hij schijnbaar improviseert op klassieke dansmelodieën en ‘Mouvements’ dat hij schreef voor het Ballet van de XXe Eeuw van Maurice Béjart.
